What to Expect with Your Appointment

Hearing Test
During your scheduled hearing test (also known as a hearing assessment), a hearing care professional will ask about your hearing difficulties, your lifestyle, and your health in general. Your clinician will also look in your ears with an otoscope and complete a variety of hearing tests using a soundproof booth. At the end of your appointment, the clinician will go over the test with you and explain the next steps to take depending on your level of hearing loss.
Hearing Aid Evaluation
If you decide to try hearing aids, a hearing healthcare professional will recommend a hearing aid to suit your hearing loss, lifestyle, needs and budget.
If you are eligible, you can take select hearing aid models home with you for up to one week to try them out in your daily life. We encourage you to use them when you’re out at a restaurant, going golfing, watching TV, and having conversions in different settings. That way you get an idea of how they can help you.
