Online Hearing Test

If you think you have hearing loss, but you aren’t sure if you want to request an appointment at a hearing clinic, you can always try a free online hearing test. Taking an online hearing test is a great way to give you a better idea if you have hearing loss. They usually only require a few minutes of your time, and a pair of headphones connected to your computer.

It is not as accurate as a full hearing test, but it will be able to tell you if you show clear signs of hearing loss. It is recommended that you visit the clinic for a full assessment of your hearing health, where our hearing care professionals can guide you on what to do after taking the test.

Recommendation

We highly recommend you take the test in a quiet environment, preferably using headphones instead of built-in computer speakers as this will produce a more accurate test.

It is important to note that this online hearing test is not a diagnostic hearing evaluation. You should always seek out a hearing healthcare professional or general practitioner if you suspect that you have a hearing loss. The purpose of the test is to help you determine whether you could benefit from a comprehensive in-clinic test.

How Does A Hearing Screening Work?

The hearing screening takes five minutes and the purpose of the free online hearing test is to pinpoint your hearing challenges. By testing your ability to hear messages in noisy environments and high frequency sounds, the online hearing screening will be able to determine whether you should consult a hearing healthcare professional.

As you start the screening we will ask for a bit of information about you. We use this information to improve our ability to calculate your results, and to email you the results once the screening is complete.

The screening will prompt you to answer questions about your hearing. Once the questions are complete, you can begin your audio setup. Make sure you are in a quiet place; it is recommended to use headphones with your computer volume at 100%. You will then begin to check your hearing with the screening and will receive the results of your hearing screening once the test is complete.
